What is something that Mitchell Tech taught you?
When I chose to attend Mitchell Tech for accounting, I wasn’t completely sure what I wanted to do, but I knew it was a practical and valuable skill. Over time, it became about more than just numbers and started to shape me in other ways. Through accounting, I became more detail oriented, learned how to think critically, and gained confidence in solving problems on my own. Skills that go far beyond the classroom and apply to everyday life. Realizing my personal growth was an impactful moment for me, because it made me see that I’m more prepared to take on what comes next.
How would you describe your overall experience at Mitchell Tech?
My overall experience at Mitchell Tech has been positive and encouraging. I was fortunate to learn from instructors who genuinely care about my success, not only academically but personally as well. Through hands on learning, I became more confident and was able to apply what I learned in real world situations. Programs like VITA gave me the opportunity to build confidence and gain practical experience, while the smaller class sizes made it easy to form strong connections with my peers. Overall, my time at Mitchell Tech helped me grow into a more confident and capable individual.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I will be moving back home to work for Creative Concepts, a local business focusing on event planning, lifestyle organization, and business development. I’m excited to apply my accounting background in a creative environment, supporting both the financial and organizational sides of the business. This opportunity allows me to combine my strengths in structure and problem solving with creativity. I’m looking forward to growing not only in my career, but also in life.

What is something that Mitchell Tech taught you?
Mitchell Tech taught me confidence, resilience, and the value of being part of a supportive community that truly cares about your academic success. Coming from a different background and being naturally introverted, I often felt self-conscious about what I could and couldn’t do. I constantly compared myself to others and developed a “me versus them” mindset. I convinced myself that I wouldn’t fit in or succeed.
In fact, I enrolled, attended only two days of classes, and left. But something inside me wanted to come back. Looking back, I realized the biggest obstacle wasn’t Mitchell Tech—it was the negative thoughts in my own mind. I kept telling myself I couldn’t do this and wouldn’t succeed. Those little voices would say things like, “You’re just an immigrant student who only learned English a few years ago. Who are you to think you can succeed?”
When I returned, I found a welcoming and supportive community that helped me grow and believe in myself. That experience completely changed how I see myself and what I’m capable of. I learned not to belittle myself and instead remind myself that I am capable of achieving great things. My instructors made that clear—not just to me, but to all of their students.
The transition wasn’t easy. It can be scary stepping out of high school, moving to a new city, adapting to a new environment, and making new friends. But Mitchell Tech gave me the support and confidence I needed to take on those challenges and believe in myself.
How would you describe your overall experience at Mitchell Tech?
My experience at Mitchell Tech has been very welcoming and supportive. The faculty truly care about their students, and the environment encourages cultural, personal, and academic growth. Even as an introvert, I was able to find my place and build confidence in things I thought I couldn’t do.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I plan to work as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. This passion comes from a personal story in my family.
During a time of war, my parents lost a child because she needed a blood transfusion, but treatment was delayed due to lack of doctor approval. If she would’ve gotten the transfusion, maybe she would have been alive today. That story has stayed with me and reminds me why compassion and timely care matter. I want to be someone’s hope and make sure that when a patient visits the lab, they receive the proper care and quality results that help solve what they came in for.
