The Radiologic Technology program at Mitchell Technical Institute is offered for a two-year Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree, providing comprehensive training for radiologic technologists. Radiologic technologists work in professional environments at hospitals, clinics or private offices.  Skill categories include patient care, positioning, operating X-ray equipment, technical factors and interacting with the general public, ancillary workers and physicians.

This program creates a unique clinical and didactic challenge to students, including a combination of classroom study and clinical rotation for practical application. The classroom portion teaches the student the fundamental principles of x-ray production.  The clinical portion allows students practical experience in real life situations.

Graduates of the program will pursue employment opportunities in radiology or diagnostic imaging departments.
