Program Eligibility: The program is open only to ARRT-registered technologists in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy or NMTCB-registered technologists in Nuclear Medicine, or those who are registry eligible.
Certificate Requirements: Students can earn the MRI Certificate by completing the MRI curriculum (12 credits) or earn the CT Certificate by completing the CT curriculum (10 credits). Students may earn an Advanced Certificate in Advanced Medical Imaging by completing both the MRI and the CT curriculum.
Licensure Considerations: Upon completion of the program, graduates will be didactically prepared to apply for the ARRT Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the ARRT Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography, or both. This ARRT certification is recognized in all 50 states, and will allow graduates to pursue state licensure if required in their state. It is the student's responsibility to determine the requirements for licensure in their state. MTI encourages prospective students to visit the ARRT website directory which provides contact information to each state's licensing office.
