MTI Graduation Scheduled for May 5

Mitchell Technical Institute will hold commencement exercises Friday, May 5, at the Corn Palace at 5:00 PM.  More than 475 students will receive Associate of Applied Science degrees and diplomas.  This year’s class contains the first cohort of Build Dakota Scholarship graduates (52) and two dual enrolled students from Mitchell High School who will receive their Power Line Construction & Maintenance diplomas a full two weeks before they graduate from high school.

Brad Greenway, a 1984 graduate MTI graduate, will deliver the graduation address.  Greenway and his wife, Peggy, own a diversified crop and livestock farm west of Mitchell.  Greenway currently serves as the chairman of the US Farmers & Ranchers Alliance and as America’s Pig Farmer of the Year for 2017. 2016 graduate Brittney Hansen will deliver the alumni address.  Next year’s student body president Jordan Schreier, Electrical Construction & Maintenance, Salem, will give the invocation and benediction.

The ceremony is open to the public.  There are no tickets or reserved seats. For more information, contact the MTI Communications office at 995-3026.
