The mission of Mitchell Technical Institute is as follows: “To provide skills for success in technical careers.”
The intent of the Mitchell Technical Institute Foundation is to assist the Institute in this endeavor through individual and corporate philanthropic measures. These gifts will assist in student scholarships and bring state of the art equipment and teachers to the classroom.
Mitchell Technical Institute’s role is vital in the overall economic well being of not only the community of Mitchell but also the region. Approximately 72% of our graduates choose to work and live in South Dakota. Almost half of these graduates stay in Mitchell or the James River Valley region. Graduates of MTI bring with them technological skills. They also buy homes, raise families, volunteer in the community, become involved in civic initiatives and increase the tax base. All of these elements are essential to a healthy and prosperous community.
Another role of the MTI Foundation is to try to secure major gifts. These gifts will help fund needed classroom space to house the state of the art technologies that are necessary to the degrees offered at MTI. Your contribution will be an investment in our community’s future.
