Join the faculty and students of the MTI Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program for a day of continuing education (6.0 Continuing Education Hours) and networking. This event is open to all speech-langauge pathologists, speech-language pathology assistants, educators, and related professionals.

Course Title:  

Improve Speech Intelligibility, Expand Language Skills and Support Phonological Awareness by Pairing Print with Evidenced-Based Interventions!

This dynamic workshop will assist SLPs, SLPAs, and related professionals to learn how to use orthographic instruction (printed cues) to simultaneously develop literacy skills, expand language knowledge, enhance phonological awareness and improve speech intelligibility. Practical applications of orthographic instruction to therapy sessions, classrooms, and natural environments will be shared. Attendees will learn the steps of “letters-to-literacy” to advance speech and literacy skills, enable carry-over of target sound and literacy skills into natural surroundings, and promote fun and function!
