Get comprehensive CT and MRI online training to prepare for your ARRT exam, expand your technical competence, and boost your marketability as a tech. The Advanced Medical Imaging program at MTI is designed to deliver online coursework in magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography to prepare students to become certified technologists in these advanced imaging modalities.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologists operate MRI scanners, which use radio frequencies and strong magnetic fields to create a cross-sectional image of a patient's body, which is then used by a radiologist to aid in making an accurate diagnosis. Computed Tomography (CT) is an advanced form of diagnostic imaging where technologists use x-rays and computers to produce cross-sectional anatomical images of the human body for diagnostic testing, radiation therapy treatment planning, and nuclear medicine PET scanning.
All didactic courses will be offered online.
Graduates of the program will be didactically prepared to apply for either the ARRT Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or the ARRT Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography or both.
Please note: The program is open to ARRT-registered technologists in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy or those who are registry eligible.
The Advanced Medical Imaging program from MTI is a satisfying combination of convenience, thoroughness, and education, all from the comfort of your own home. Mitchell Tech provides superior instructors in Kristi Rayman and Susan Pritchard. I would recommend this program to people looking to advance their careers in the medical imaging field and I believe it would be beneficial for anyone, no matter what your situation. Whether you have a family, are a new student fresh out of radiology school, or are currently working in the field of radiology, anyone who takes part in this program will reap the benefits and become a complete technologist.

*Placement data is gathered through graduate surveys, faculty-collected data, and phone surveys started after six months of graduation. In 2017, 4 of the 5 graduates responded to the survey. Employment/Continuing Education rate is figured by: (graduates employed or continuing education)/(responding graduates who are seeking employment and are not in military service).
