Articulation is a cooperative effort between South Dakota’s high schools and technical institutes. It links high schools with certificate, diploma, and associate degree programs. It provides students with an opportunity to receive credit for skills previously learned.
Students are eligible to articulate technical courses to Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) from their high school if the following criteria are met:
- Their high school career and technical (CTE) program is a South Dakota Division of Career and Technical Education approved program.
- The course(s) must have been completed within the last three years.
- They achieved a B or better in the high school articulating course(s).
This criteria does not include the ability to articulate a high school math course to MTI, it only applies to technical courses.
